LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, said on Sunday that gas load-shedding in Punjab was a deliberate attempt by the centre to malign the provincial government in the eyes of public.
The Charter of Democracy (CoD) signed between PPP and PML-N has been shattered, he said.
The chief minister alleged that President Asif Ali Zardari had demanded a three-year extension for the then Chief Justice Abdul Hamid Dogar, failing which he threatened to dismiss him and his brother Nawaz Sharif.
In a stern message to President Zardari, he said that such tricks (topi drama) would not work anymore.
However, he said that politics will continue with decency and politeness.
